Together with our partners, we create unique experiences to be shared with loved ones in the world’s most exquisite homes and yachts. The state-of-the-art Barco Residential projectors are developed, manufactured, and treasured in our design centers in Belgium and Norway. They’re designed from the ground up with one goal in mind – to show the best possible images in any setting. From purpose-built lenses and optics, to custom-made electronics processing and boards, all parts are specially crafted. Our full glass lenses, for instance, are carefully selected so that we can guarantee their glass is of the best quality.
Barco Residential’s Prometheus III is exclusively created for high-end home theaters, with more contrast and a wider color gamut. It features the latest 4K DLP® chipsets from Texas Instruments and the acclaimed Barco Alchemy Integrated Cinema Media Processor (ICMP), to faithfully reproduce even the subtlest nuance of color and detail on screen.

As the opening credits roll, the audience is transported to an unexpected world of superior movie realism, embraced by the ultimate image quality and immersive sound. This compelling universe is created by Barco Residential’s Prometheus III.
High-end simplicity
Prometheus III combines media server functionalities with cinema processing electronics: Barco Alchemy Integrated Cinema Media Processor (ICMP) with HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2 support The ICMP have two HDMI inputs to support Bluray, DVD’s, gaming consoles and other media devices. The projector offers advanced processing power combined with media server functionality, integrated playback and content management. Barco Alchemy enables showings of 4K 2D content at 60fps and 4K 3D at 30fps. Reducing the required hardware makes installation simpler and makes the system more reliable and easier to use.
4K at the highest level
Several new components enhance the Prometheus III. A dedicated 4K (4 x 3Gb/s) input board enables playback of native 4K content. Barco’s renowned DCI-compliant image quality with the outstanding uniformity that’s unique to laser illumination. The Smart Laser projectors show improved image quality on your dedicated screen and are fully compatible with popular 3D systems. Additionally, the projector’s light output remains constant over time when used according to recommended practices. Barco Residential’s Cinema at home series offer even higher contrast, 4,500:1 sequential / 600:1 ANSI contrast.
